1. Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data. The app does not use analytics or tracking services, and does not use advertising SDKs. FuelFile does not access your location, contacts, or microphone, does not create user accounts or require login, and does not transmit any data to servers operated by us.
The app functions entirely offline. An internet connection is only required for the optional Pro purchase and for restoring purchases.
2. Local Data Storage
All data is stored exclusively on your device: vehicles, receipts and receipt data in a local SQLite database, the raw receipt text read during recognition (OCR), receipt photos in the app's local file system, and app settings (language, currency, theme).
This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted, uploaded, or synced. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
3. Text Recognition (OCR)
Receipt text recognition runs entirely on-device via Google ML Kit. Neither receipt photos nor recognized text are sent to any server.
4. Permissions
Camera — to scan fuel receipts directly in the app. Photo library — to import receipts you have already saved.
Both permissions are used only for the respective action.
5. Export & Delete Your Data
You can export all app data as a JSON file (local backup) or delete it completely at any time. Since no servers are involved, deletion is immediate and permanent.
6. Third-Party Services
FuelFile uses a single third-party service — solely for purchases: RevenueCat processes and validates the Pro subscription. RevenueCat receives an anonymous user ID and the purchase receipt from Apple or Google. No personal data (name, email, location) is sent.
7. Other Platform Features
When you share an export, your device's native share dialog opens. The shared content is handled entirely by your device's operating system — we do not process or store it.
The app may occasionally ask you to rate it using the standard platform dialog. No data is collected through this process.
8. Children
FuelFile collects no data from any user, including children.
9. Website Analytics (Google Analytics)
The notes above concern the app. On this website (not in the app) we use Google Analytics — but only after your explicit consent. By default, analytics is disabled (Google Consent Mode v2: all analytics and advertising storage are set to "denied"). Only once you agree in the cookie banner is Google Analytics loaded and cookies set to analyze, in anonymized form, how the website is used (e.g. which pages are viewed). This data helps us improve the website.

10. Waitlist (website)
On this website you can optionally join a waitlist to be notified when the app launches. We only collect your email address for this purpose. It is used once to inform you about the app's availability and is deleted afterwards. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form.
To send the notification we use Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as a processor. Your email address may be transferred to the USA; the provider is covered by appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future and request deletion of your address — by email to privacy@xhub.io.
